Dialogues is typical of women making good an opportunity.
Some of us met for the World Social Forum, started a dialogue
under a tree, continued it across cyberspace and organised
a transnational meeting. It is also typical of the informal
networking and collective organising of the women’s movement.
For us, this is an exciting venture and it will be a challenging
one. A feminist space can be dynamic, chaotic and vibrant
as women from different contexts, countries and campaigns
interact on some topical and contentious issues. There will
be immense problems but also the elation of meeting and sharing.
And that is what makes it worthwhile. |
